APPLICATION
The building must be weather tight but well ventilated. Air and substrate temperature should be above 10°C and relative humidity between 30 - 65%.
If temperature and humidity are outside the recommended range the area should be heated and humidifiers or dehumidifiers installed. Avoid using heating systems that generate large quantities of water vapour, e.g. gas or paraffin.

Aquafire HP System is not suitable for exterior use, areas of very high humidity or areas in direct contact with water.

MIXING
Mix 'A' and 'B' thoroughly for both Basecoat and Topcoat.

Aquafire HP Basecoat mix ratios:
A:B   1:1.38  by weight        A:B   1:1.34 by volume
Usable life of up to 3 hours @ 15 - 20°C
It is recommended that only sufficient quantity is mixed for 30 minutes continuous application.
Aquafire HP Topcoat mix ratios:
A:B  9.5:1   by weight     A:B     9:1   by volume
Maximum usable life of 36 hours in a sealed container.

LOADINGS
•Aquafire HP Primer should be applied to the loading per coat of 60 - 8Ogm2
•Aquafire HP Basecoat should be applied to the minimum loading per coat of 380gm2 (170 micron DFT*) •Aquafire HP Topcoat should be applied to the minimum loading of 90 gm2 (35 micron DFT*)
•Check the film loading using a wet film thickness gauge taking several representative readings.
Note: It is important that stated film loadings are achieved. Failure to do so may reduce the efficiency of :he flame retardant coating.

RECOMMENDATIONS
It is recommended that the air temperature and relative humidity are kept to optimum levels to ensure good drying and curing of Aquafire HP Basecoat and Topcoat, ideally 20°C at 50% relative humidity. Low temperatures and high humidity will prolong the drying and curing time.
It is recommended that Aquafire HP Basecoat is overcoated with Aquafire HP Topcoat as soon as practical preferably within 1 to 6 hours under good drying conditions. Aquafire HP Basecoat is sensitive to contact with water and high humidity levels. Always thoroughly abrade between coats.

Please refer to the separate Health and Safety Data Sheets on the Aquafire HP System for detailed instructions.

Aquafire HP Basecoat: Satisfactory results have been obtained using the following equipment:
Pressure feed HVLP spray gun with 13 FF set up.
Basecoat can also be applied using a fine bristle or synthetic brush.
Aquafire HP Topcoat:
Equipment normally used for spray application of A/C lacquers should be satisfactory.
